Integrating with BigCommerce

This guide walks you through the steps to integrate Armanet with your BigCommerce storefront. Once integrated, Armanet enables advanced tracking capabilities that help you optimize your ad spend, understand customer behavior, and measure real return on advertising investment:

  • Conversion Tracking

Track when a user who clicked on an Armanet-powered ad completes a purchase. This allows you to directly attribute revenue to specific ad campaigns and creative.

  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) Measurement

Calculate exactly how much revenue your campaigns are generating for every dollar spent. Armanet provides detailed insights that help you shift budget toward the most profitable campaigns.

  • Audience Building and Retargeting

Use behavioral data (such as product views, add-to-cart events, and purchases) to create high-converting audiences for retargeting or lookalike campaigns.

  • Event-Level Insights

View detailed logs of actions taken by users, including impressions, clicks, page views, and conversions, to optimize the customer funnel.

Step 1: Add the Armanet Script in Script Manager

  1. Log in to your BigCommerce admin panel and go to: Storefront > Script Manager

  2. Click the Create a Script button.

  1. Fill in the script details with the following configuration:

    • Script name: Armanet Integration
    • Placement: Header
    • Location: All pages
    • Script category: Essential
    • Script type: URL
    • Load method: Defer
    • Script URL: https://assets.armanet.us/armanet-bigcommerce.js
  2. Click Save.

This script loads the Armanet SDK on all pages of your storefront. It captures relevant events like page views, product interactions, and purchases.

Step 2: Enable the BigCommerce Data Layer

  1. Go to: Settings > Advanced > Data solutions

  2. In Web analytics section click "Show advanced settings ▼".

  3. Toggle the setting "Turn on the data layer" to On.

The data layer provides structured information about customer activity on your site, such as products viewed, items added to the cart, and completed checkouts. This allows Armanet to accurately track conversions and optimize your campaigns.
